Breakfast is by far the most important meal of the day. Here are four of my favorite clean eating breakfasts:
Breakfast #1: Oatmeal
You can’t go wrong with oatmeal made from steel-cut oats! The key here is to sweeten your oatmeal with honey or another natural sweetener (maple syrup or molasses are both considered clean as long as there is no added sugar).
You can top your oatmeal with any combination of fruits.
Here’s my favorite oatmeal recipe:
-1/2 cup oats
-3/4 cup water
-1 tbsp almond butter
-1/2 banana
-dash of cinnamon
-honey (optional)
Breakfast #2: Whole Wheat Crepes
There are a ton of great whole wheat crepe recipes out there that are also clean-eating approved, and I like to fill my crepes with fresh fruit and almond butter, and then save a few for lunch and fill them with cashew cream sauce and veggies.
You can make a cashew cream sauce by blending cashews, a little bit of almond milk, and the juice of half an orange in a blender. Cashew cream sauce tastes delicious no matter how you make it, and you can even swap out the orange juice with lemon juice. Experiment to find the perfect sauce for your savory crepes!
Breakfast #3: Scrambled Eggs
Scrambled eggs with veggies are healthy and a quick breakfast!
Breakfast #4: Parfaits
Parfaits are great because you can make them the night before, and they’re a quick, healthy breakfast.
Here’s what I put in my parfaits:
-Plain Greek Yogurt
-Berries
-Cinnamon
-Oats
-Honey (optional)

Is Quaker “weight control” oatmeal ok to use with almond milk?
What type of granola is acceptable under clean eating?
Can I add other items to the peanut butter bites like raisans, shredd. coconut, carob?

Hi Pamela! I haven’t tried weight control oatmeal, but give it a shot! I love Quaker oats. Any kind of granola is fine as long as it doesn’t have added sugar, and definitely try adding different ingredients to the peanut butter bites!
I tried shredded coconut and didn’t like it, but one of my friends swears by it. Dates might go well in it too. Experiment and let me know what you liked best!

Love the posts, I love that oats is the go to breakfast as it’s cheap and I have lots of it. I just wanted to ask about muesli or granola I make my own with mixed nuts, dried apricots and all bran flakes with flaxseed and oats lots if it then top it with honey and olive oil or coconut oil if I can’t find shredded coconut flavor it with nutmeg, cinnamon and all spice. Is this considered clean? I usually have half a cup with natural low fat yoghurt and add some fruits like banana or blueberries. Clean eating or nay? Looking forward to your feedback on what to tweet but I think the oil is a nay and gotta be careful on the honey and dried fruits? No sure

I never liked to eat during breakfast until the recent moment. Now, I understand, that it is important to eat something healthy in the morning.
