This is a part of my 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge Article Series! Read about the challenge and see all of my posts HERE!
I’m not going to sugarcoat it: clean eating is tough. Occasionally I just want to throw in the towel and eat processed foods all day.
However, if you’ve decided to eat clean, and you want the health benefits associated with a good diet, you need to stick with it!
Here is how I stay motivated:
1. Keep a journal or a blog. Because I’ve been blogging about clean eating every single day, I’m always reminded about the benefits and the practical details about how to eat well and stick with this. I encourage you guys to keep blogs and journals of your own to log your progress, talk about your doubts, and try and figure out how to make clean eating work for you!
2. Find new recipes. There’s nothing more motivating than knowing you can cook healthy, delicious foods that follow the clean eating standards. If you don’t have a good repertoire of recipes, cooking can seem daunting, so get out there and learn some new dishes!
3. Track your progress. I don’t weigh myself that often, but I do take measurements and monitor my body fat percentage, and that’s extremely motivating — especially when you can see how far you’ve come. I went from a size 14 jean size to a size 6, and I’m continuing to become a better athlete with a healthier body every day!
Stick with it and I’ll see all of you tomorrow!
